With support from Skills for Care we have pulled together our learning from working alongside colleagues in residential and extra care in Wigan. This learning is gathered via various forms of data, stories, reviews and a interviews with many of those involved. We have shaped this into a practical resource for others interested to help care homes and extra care become more person and community centred. This is not the end of our learning of course but we wanted to share it given the interest from many people and places. The resource is an interactive PDF which describes the why, what and how of the work to date, shares results and learning to date. Linking off from the main paper are many more detailed materials – tools, handbooks,
examples, stories. The resource is free to use.
If you want to explore further with us do get in touch at cath@community-circles.co.uk. There is lots of free material available on the rest of our website. We also have a low cost membership for people who want a bit more help. To find out more click here.
